About Elle, MD

 Jennifer Johnston, MD, CCFP is a family physician with over a decade of clinical experience in Nova Scotia and a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She serves as an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University and has worked extensively in hormonal health care and women-centered primary care. Dr. Johnston’s personal and clinical experience with hormonal contraceptives has shaped her commitment to expanding non-hormonal, user-controlled contraceptive options. She founded Elle, MD to address critical gaps in the contraceptive market and now serves as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the company’s clinical vision, fundraising, and stakeholder partnerships.
